Civil Engineering projects involve teams of specialised professionals working under legally binding contracts, laws, and industry regulations. To work effectively, engineers must understand these legal requirements, yet most engineering programs do not teach these skills. Growing global ventures and foreign investments have made legal knowledge even more important for engineers who want to stay competitive. To meet this need, NED University of Engineering and Technology proposes a Masters of Engineering in Civil with a specialisation in Construction Engineering Law. This program is designed to equip construction and engineering professionals with the legal understanding needed to advance their careers.

It is the first & only department in Pakistan offering M.Engg. Civil with Specialisation in Construction Engineering Law programme. Construction Engineering Law programme has distinction of being included in the Program listing of Society of Construction Law International (SCL). Moreover, the programme is also acknowledged by Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) Pakistan.

Objectives

Graduates of this program will be able to perform effectively and accurately in areas of Construction Engineering law. Specifically, the graduates of this program will:
i. Understand knowledge of relevant legal aspects in Construction Engineering.
ii. Analyse practical and theoretical problems to provide structured solutions to legal issues in Construction Engineering.
iii. Communicate, write, and document clearly regarding the laws and their applications to the real construction project issues.
